MONICA PALMER

I started making jewellery as a hobby only in my 50’s, while I was still working full time as a bursar at a prep school in Surrey and raising my two sons. I then started attending basic evening classes at the Clifton Centre in Twickenham, South West London and have never looked back.

When I retired (over 5 years ago!) I decided to go back to school and take my jewellery skills to another level – studying full time at the Morley college in London, gaining my level 2 certificate in 2019. I now have a small workshop at home where I make pieces that I enjoy and also sell at a few small boutiques in my local area. I often make pieces for friends and relatives as gifts or on commission. I belong to Surrey Open Stidios and attend at the annual Albury Fair and Christmas fairs. I exhibit at the High Clandon Sculphure Exhibition and have some jewellery in the Woking Light Box Art Gallery
